Sometimes, it's best not to try capturing a moment for the future because it destroys the current moment. One moment like this happened around 12 midnight after all the festivities in town. The fireworks show was over and everyone was trying to catch a bus home. As we walked up to the bus station, we basically had to push our way onto the bus along with dozens of other people. When it was so full that not another person could fit, 12 more people joined, leaving hundreds more waiting for the next bus. As the bus lurched forward, there was no need for me to support myself. We were so packed, I could just stand there feeling like I was receiving one big, fully-circumferencing hug of stability. I wanted a picture of that moment, but to pull out a camera would have ruined it, so I'll just remember that moment in my head.
